Aims and Scopes:

Journal of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal advancing the science of human cognition and its interaction with modern technologies.
We publish high-quality empirical research and systematic reviews in four equally valued streams:
1. Core Cognition: Foundational and contemporary studies on learning, memory, attention, reasoning, emotion, motivation, wellbeing, decision-making, and performance using behavioural, psychometric, neuroscientific, or developmental approaches.
2. Cognition through Interactive Technologies: How interactive technologies shape, extend, or challenge cognitive processes, including virtual/augmented reality, gamification, conversational agents, wearables, and digital therapeutics.
3. AI and Cognitive Systems: The design, development, and evaluation of artificial intelligence systems aimed at understanding, measuring, augmenting, or supporting human cognition, including generative AI, adaptive learning systems, neuroadaptive interfaces, human-AI collaboration, and trust in AI.
4. Interactive Technologies for Cognition: Design, development, and evaluation of novel interactive systems explicitly aimed at measuring, training, augmenting, or rehabilitating human cognition (e.g., VR-based cognitive training, intelligent gamification platforms, and cognitive rehabilitation tools).
All four streams are core to the journal. Pure cognitive psychology papers, technology-enhanced cognition studies, hardcore AI research, and applied interactive system development are equally welcome.
We particularly encourage bold, real-world studies that demonstrate meaningful impact on education, mental health, workplace performance, and human development.

Quality Control Mechanism:
The journal practises a double-blind peer-review process. 

Publication Frequency:
Quarterly issues with online-first publication within 10 days of acceptance, with a minimum of 6 full articles per issue.
