Aims and Scopes:
The Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development (FCSHD) of the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) has the pleasure to communicate the publication of Journal of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development (JCSHD), as a peer-reviewed research journal since September 2015. The overarching goal of this scholarly journal is to create a robust platform for academicians and researchers to contribute to further promotion of scholarship and dissemination of scientific knowledge in cognitive sciences, human development, human resource development, and counseling which have formed essentially core disciplinary areas of foci and competence of the FCSHD. JCSHD is a double blind and peer-reviewed journal that is published two times a year, in March and September.
The JCSHD welcomes research articles, both conceptual and empirical, case studies, practitioner perspectives, and book reviews. We are committed emphatically to respecting scholarly discourses, which are based on a variety of ontological, epistemological, and methodological tranditions and paradigms of social research. A distinct feature of this journal is its creation of a dedicated space for Academia-Industry Forum where faculty members can conduct joint research with Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), managers, and employees of various business functions of public and private sector organizations for unearthening ground and less known realities of related managerial and organizational practices. Notably, this Academia-Industry Forum may not require authors to concentrate on theoretical perspectives on chosen areas of interest in preparing their manuscripts for submission. Optimistically, this is a proactive step towards forging mutually beneficial collaboration and cooperation between the university and the industry.
