Reviewer's Guidelines
Introduction
UNIMAS Journals operate a double-blind peer review system. Before accepting a manuscript for review, reviewers should ensure that the submitted article is within their area of expertise and that they can dedicate the necessary time and effort to perform a critical evaluation.
Conflict of Interest
IIf a conflict of interest arises, reviewers should disclose it to the editor and recuse themselves from the peer review process.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts are private documents entrusted to a reviewer for the sole purpose of evaluation. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the review process. During and after the review process, all details about the manuscript and the review process must be kept strictly confidential.
Appropriation of Information
Reviewers who exploit information gathered through the peer review process for their own advantage, for the advantage of any other person or organisation, or to disadvantage or discredit others, are acting unethically.
Fairness
Reviews should be objective and honest. Reviewers must not be influenced by the manuscript's origins, the religious, political, or cultural views of the authors, or the authors' gender, race, or ethnicity.
Review Reports
Reviewers should focus on a manuscript's originality, contribution to the field, technical excellence, presentation clarity, and depth of research. Reviewers should also verify that the manuscript complies with the journal's author guidelines, editorial policies, publication ethics, and relevant reporting guidelines.
The review report must be precise, objective, constructive, and straightforward. Regarding the manuscript's content, comments should be supported by facts and constructive arguments. Reviewers must refrain from making hostile, insulting, or accusatory comments. Reviewers should not rewrite the manuscript; instead, they should suggest essential changes and areas for improvement.
Timeliness
Reviewers should only accept manuscripts if they are confident they can complete the evaluation within the allocated time. Accordingly, reviewers should complete and return their reviews promptly.

- Requires minor corrections
- Requires major revisions
- Not suitable for the journal
