Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Computing and Social Informatics (JCSI) is delighted that you are considering us in publishing your work.

All contributions must be an original piece of work. The articles are neither currently being considered for publication nor published elsewhere. Author(s) will need to sign a copyright form which indicates that JCSI holds the copyright while the author(s) retain certain rights to their own work. JCSI reserves the right to edit all contributions.

Scholars, researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their original work on a broad range of research covering computer science and its innovative applications.

General guidelines:

Language: English

Length: Maximum 15 pages including images and reference list.

Abstract: Each article should be summarised in about 200 words and capable of acting as descriptor of the article.

Keywords: Give at least five keywords separated by comma.

Name of Author(s): Please provide full name (given names first followed by last name/surname), address for correspondence and e-mail address.

Format: Detailed format is given here as a downloadable template file.

Copyright Transfer Form: Click here to download the form.

Similarity Index: Must be less than 30%

Review: Each submission will be double blind refereed. Contributors are responsible in obtaining all necessary permissions and copyrights of materials in the article.

Response Form: Form to record the list of changes or rebuttals can be downloaded here.
